Tasha nervously licked her lips,
which immediately brought his attention to her mouth. He groaned and leaned
into her slightly, his soft looking lips hovering a mere whisper above hers.
His minty breath fanned her face. If either of them moved just a millimeter
their lips would meet. Tasha held her breath, her pulse racing with the intense
desire to be kissed by this man.
Suddenly a car alarm shrieked out
next to them breaking the spell, both of them jumped apart like two teenagers
caught necking in the car. She saw regret in his eyes as he moved away from her
and closed the door, causing the truck to shake with more force than was
necessary. She watched him round the front of the truck as she tried to
remember how to breathe. He muttered to himself and even slapped his hat
against his leg in frustration.
Great book! :)
ReplyDeleteHeehee - yeah, I'm frustrated too! What timing! That car had better really be being stolen!
ReplyDeleteDamn car alarms! If they keep having those "almost" moments, when they do finally get together it will be hot. It's all about the build-up.
ReplyDeleteSounds like they're both frustrated! Great sexual tension!
