A writing exile

Today is officially the last day of school in my district. It has been a year filled with ups and downs. I am glad that it is over. Next week, I will have to do some more curriculum writing but after that I will officially be on vacation.

After I am finished, I am placing myself on a self-imposed writing exile. I am about half way finished with my story Irish Rising. I would like to get it finished and submitted by the end of July. I think it is a realistic goal. My other WIP is at about 4K but there is this baseball player in my head that keeps on insisting that his story be told. So I think that the cowboy story can be put on hold for a little while.

I have a lot to do today, so that's it for now! Happy Friday and have a great weekend.

Peace out,
MRD

  3. I'm doing the same thing. I want my current WIP finished by the end of July before my edits come back from the editor. That way, I can have a fresh set of eyes when I come back to revise in maybe September.

    Good luck with your exile!
